INDICATIONS:
- Custom trays and occlusion rims for accurate bite registration are required or proper 360 scans.
NOTES FROM YOUR TECHNICIAN:
- Photos showing a relaxed and high smile, including nose and eyes, are helpful to the design technicians when setting teeth.
- If scanning, be sure scan data is crisp, clean, and without holes or artifacts that may cause unpredictable results.
- When taking a wash impression, be sure that the thickness of the wash material does not open the patient’s VDO; it must close to the same bite position. Measure before and after, if necessary.
- If opening the bite is desired, use a leaf gauge or similar tool to capture their new desired VDO during your bite scan, and communicate any changes to the lab.
