As a young son to his dental technician father Angelo, Bruce Bonafiglia always enjoyed spending time in the lab with Dad and admired the dental technician profession. Since officially joining the laboratory in 1975 as a Ceramist, Bruce became President of the company in 1986 when his father and founder, Angelo, retired. Bruce reached recognition as a Nationally Certified Dental technician in both Ceramics and Crown and Bridge Substructures. He has steadily charted BonaDent’s growth from 8 employees in a single laboratory, to nearly 300 dental professionals within six lab divisions serving dentists across the United States. With laboratories in New York, South Carolina and Florida, Bruce created the most technologically advanced and employee friendly workplaces in the industry, which enables BonaDent to attract and retain the best people in the industry as well as create lab mentors that assist dentists on a daily basis. After 45 years with the company Bruce, along with the help of his daughters Daniele and Erin, has turned BonaDent Dental Laboratories into an industry leader and have become known as the Anterior & Complex Case Specialists. The BonaDent family of labs continue to grow, proud to serve the dental community for years to come.

Daniele Bonafiglia-Wirth

Vice President & CFO

Daniele, a fourth generation member of the Bonafiglia family, is continuing the proud heritage of BonaDent. Daniele graduated magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1997. After graduation, she opened BonaDent’s on-site child care facility, The Learning Tree. Since then, her desire to become fully engaged in her family’s business led to turns in Finance and Sales and Marketing, and eventually to her current position as Vice President. Daniele is married to Dr. Philipp Wirth, who practices Internal Medicine in Seneca Falls. They have a daughter, Gabriella, and a son, Harrison. When not working, Daniele enjoys spending time with her family and training for triathlons.

Erin Bonafiglia

Lead Technical Contact

Erin received her Bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Hartford in 2003. Upon graduation, she joined her family business and is the youngest in the fourth generation of Bonafiglias to work in the dental laboratory. Following an internship with Jensen Industries, and Dale Carnegie Leadership Training, Erin went on to complete Mastering Aesthetics & Ceramics for the Advanced Dental Technician at New York University’s College of Dentistry. She has her Six Sigma Green Belt Training and has completed continuing education courses and training under some of the greatest leaders in the dental field such as Lee Culp, Willi Geller, Matt Roberts, Peter Pizzi, Michel and Pascal Magne, Oliver Tric, Al Hodges, Don Cornell and Terry McQuiston. She has extensive knowledge with All-on-X cases for Straumann, Biohorizons, Nobel and many other implant systems. Today Erin serves as a Lead Technical Contact at BonaDent.

Angelo Bonafiglia, CDT

Founder

“I came to Seneca Falls in 1947 to attend a wedding, and never returned home to Philadelphia. I loved it here.” Angelo Bonafiglia opened his first dental laboratory in Seneca Falls in 1948. Angelo’s business grew steadily to where he opened a larger lab in 1954 in nearby Auburn, NY. Angelo received CDT certification in dentures, partials, crown and bridge, and ceramics in 1960, the first year that national certification took place. This coincided with the business continuing to expand and grow much as it does today. Angelo’s son Bruce bought the business from his father in 1986. At a sharp 83 years of age, Angelo continues to be intimately involved in nearly every aspect of the business.
